Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow underwent surgery for his right wrist last month, and we have an estimate on when he's able to throw again.

Kelsey Conway of the Cincinnati Enquirer was able to discern the approximate recovery time for such an injury, and it's good news for the Bengals:

"Sources indicate the timeline for return from this injury is four to six months. This ligament is in the middle of the wrist between the scaphoid and lunate bones. It’s an important wrist stabilizing ligament." – Cincinnati.com's Kelsey Conway

Four to six months from the time that Burrow underwent surgery puts him at a reasonable time for the Bengals. At the earliest, he'll be throwing by late March, and the latest by June according to this report.

Both times would put him ahead of training camp.

Burrow suffered an acute injury injury during Cincinnati’s Week 11 game against the Baltimore Ravens. He didn't have surgery on his right wrist until a couple weeks later until the swelling decreased.

It was obvious that Burrow would not be able to return for any regular season or postseason action for the Bengals. The main concern surrounded when he'd be able to participate in offseason workouts leading up to the 2024 season.

The Bengals will begin offseason practices sometime around the beginning of May, which aligns with Burrow's reported recovery time.

We'll know more about Burrow's recovery when the offseason arrives. At the very least, this report gives us an estimate as to when the superstar will be able to practice with his team again.
