Free agent visits are popping off for the Cincinnati Bengals.

Along with veteran safety Nick Scott coming in to town, the Bengals are hosting offensive lineman Cody Ford today, per ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.

Ford, a second-round pick by the Buffalo Bills in the 2019 NFL Draft, played three seasons in Buffalo at three different positions along the offensive line. He was drafted originally to be a right tackle, where he played with the Oklahoma Sooners in college, but was moved inside as a swing guard after an uninspiring rookie season. Ford made a combined 14 starts at both guard spots from 2020-2021.

In the weeks leading up to the 2022 season, Ford was dealt for a fifth-round pick to the Arizona Cardinals with one year remaining on his contract. He mainly played at left guard when needed, but also repped as an emergency right tackle towards the end of the season.

Now a free agent for the first time in his career, the 26-year old Ford carries a resume of experience at three different o-line positions. This intrigues the Bengals as they look to bolster depth behind an offensive line that just added left tackle Orlando Brown Jr.

Speaking of OBJ, he played next to Ford in 2017 while both were still at Oklahoma, so I'm sure there would be some excitement to play with a former Sooner again several years later.
