Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator Brian Callahan now has a new title next to his name, and it's not with the Bengals.

Per ESPN's Adam Schefter, Callahan is set to become the next head coach for the Tennessee Titans.

Callahan was originally hired by the Bengals in 2019, the same year head coach Zac Taylor took over the team. He was previously a quarterbacks coach for three other franchises. He's also the son of former NFL head coach and current Cleveland Browns offensive line coach Bill Callahan.

The Titans emerged as a likely landing spot for Callahan last week, and the club brought him in for a second interview on Monday. He was set to fly east to interview with the Carolina Panthers, but the Titans didn't let him leave the building.

Back in Cincinnati, the question of who replaces Callahan will have to be answered soon. Quarterbacks coach Dan Pitcher is expected to replace Callahan one year after receiving a contract extension to stay on Taylor's staff. Pitcher has been with the Bengals since 2016 and is said to have a great working relationship with quarterback Joe Burrow.

Just like Callahan got a promotion from QB coach to OC, Pitcher makes the most sense to take his former co-worker's job. Pitcher would likely be replaced by current assistant quarterbacks coach Brad Kragthorpe.
