The Cincinnati Bengals will be getting things underway for training camp this upcoming week. However, several guys won't be on the field, at least for now.

Cincinnati placed cornerback Chidobe Awuzie, offensive tackle Devin Cochran, and right tackle La'el Collins on the active/PUP list on Sunday.

The PUP list is for players who aren't able to physically perform because of football-related injuries. They can still attend meetings plus use the team's training and medical facilities but can't participate in practice.

Awuzie missed the final nine games of the 2022 season with a torn ACL which led to Cam Taylor-Britt getting valuable playing time as a rookie. He's still on track for the season opener, but it's better to be cautious when it comes to a major knee injury.

Collins was a part of Cincinnati’s offensive line revamp last year. He played pretty solid in 15 starts, but unfortunately, Collins tore his ACL as well as his MCL last December.

It isn't just rehabbing his knee that Collins has to deal with but the signing of left tackle Orlando Brown Jr. forced Jonah Williams to play right tackle so he's now in direct competition with Collins.

Cochran joined the Bengals as an undrafted free agent last season and spent the entire year on the practice squad.
