The Kansas City Chiefs made a couple of big mistakes on Thursday and it will likely cost them against the Cincinnati Bengals this weekend.

A couple of Chiefs players decided to disrespect the Bengals on Thursday — something that usually doesn't end well for Cininnati's opponents.

Kansas City linebacker Willie Gay got the disrespect started by saying that "nothing" impresses him about the Bengals' offense.

Gay also said that the Chiefs are focusing on stopping the run against Cincy because they know the Bengals will try to "big boy" them.

Even though he's a competitor, saying there's nothing impressive about the No. 7 scoring offense in the NFL is just silly. That's nothing more than an insult to Cincinnati.

Gay wasn't the only Kansas City player that talked trash on Thursday, either.

Cornerback L'Jarius Sneed suggested that the Chiefs won't have any issues "handling" the Bengals.

"They're a great group, all of them, they're pretty cool, pretty good, but me and my guys are going to handle them pretty well," said Sneed.

"No, I'm not worried about that," said Sneed. "We came to play football, that's what we're here to do."

Those are some strong words from a Chiefs team that hasn't been able to beat Burrow and the Bengals the last two years.

And considering Cincinnati thrives off bulletin board material — to the point that Bengals HC Zac Taylor said he'll search every inch of the internet for it — it was an interesting choice by Kansas City to make those comments on Thursday.

It's usually not wise to poke the bear. And I have a feeling the Chiefs are going to regret giving Cinncy some extra bulletin board material this week.
