The Cincinnati Bengals and Kansas City Chiefs put on another show in the AFC Championship Game for the second straight season. This time, it was the Cheifs who came out on top 23-20 and punched their ticket to the Super Bowl for the third time in four seasons.

When the Bengals review the film of the game, they'll likely get sick to their stomachs. On the final drive, the Chiefs had the ball with a 3rd and 4 at the Bengals' 47. Mahomes would scramble for a first down and got 15 yards added to his scramble thanks to a personal foul on Bengals' defense end Joseph Ossai for a late hit out of bounds.

In the same play, the referees missed a call that they shouldn't have. Bengals' defensive end Trey Hendrickson was held and it was clear as day. Also, another holding call could have taken place as the tweet below demonstrates.

In this situation, it should have been offsetting penalties and the down would have been played over. Of course, this doesn't guarantee that the Bengals get a stop and force a punt if it was, but the Chiefs got a first down that they shouldn't have and kicked the game-winner on the next play.

Losing is tough enough, and the Bengals are certainly hurting after failing to reach the Super Bowl for a second straight year. However, when missed calls like this happen, it makes it harder to swallow.
