Cleveland Browns had a chance to make a statement and they did just that with a 33-31 win over the Baltimore Ravens.

The Browns moved to 6-3 with the comeback win that was produced in large part by the way that Deshaun Watson played in the second half. After a rough first half, Watson was 14-of-14 passing in the second half with 134 yards.

Cleveland’s defense came up big late and Dustin Hopkins made a game-winning kick to make up for his missed extra point.

It was a huge turnaround for Watson, who was just 6-of-20 passing in the first half for 79 yards and an interception. Cleveland’s quarterback completed passes of 15 and 19 yards on the final drive, as well as a 16-yard run.

The Browns were operating with their fourth and fifth offensive tackles in the game. James Hudson had a rough time on the right side and Geron Christian was picked up off the street to start at left tackle. Nonetheless, the team still got it down.

Cleveland had been waiting for Watson to rise to the occasion and win the game. It’s what they made the trade for and it showed up in Week 10 against a team that was maybe playing at the highest level in the NFL. Watson had a couple of good performances this season, but this is the first signature win that he’s really had a hand on for Cleveland.

If Watson can build off of this, it could be the turning point that Watson needs to be the guy that the Browns need.

Next up for the Browns is the Steelers, another chance for Cleveland to grab an AFC North win.
