Cleveland Browns just clinched the playoffs for the third time since 2002 with a win over the New York Jets. That’s right, Cleveland is back in the postseason for just the third time in over 20 seasons.

The Browns defeated the New York Jets behind a huge first half performance, 37-20. Joe Flacco passed for 309 yards with three touchdown passes. Two of those went to RB Jerome Ford and TE David Njoku exploded for 134 yards with majority of them coming in the first quarter alone.

Now at 11-5 on the season, Cleveland may be able to turn their focus to resting players next week against the Cincinnati Bengals. That decision will ride on whether or not the Baltimore Ravens lose and Cleveland has a shot at the No. 1 seed still.

Joe Flacco’s fifth start with the Browns puts him at 4-1 on the season as a starter and a switch has flipped since he joined the team. The veteran’s leadership has sparked a very good vibe throughout the locker room and even the fanbase.

Right now, the Browns are at the No. 5 seed in the AFC and would travel to take on the Jacksonville Jaguars in the Wildcard round.

With all of these injuries, the Browns have piled up this season, making it to the playoffs is all that much more impressive. Doing so is a testament to why Kevin Stefanski is Coach of the Year.

Buckle up Cleveland fan, the Browns have made it to their ‘second season’ — a place they haven’t visited often at all since the franchise returned.
