Unfortunately for Kevin Stefanski, it appears that he’s lost a wrinkle that he’s been using within the offense for the Cleveland Browns.

Cleveland has reportedly brought QB P.J. Walker to the active roster from the practice squad due to an injury to Dorian Thompson-Robinson. The rookie is dealing with a hip injury suffered against the Texans in the Week 16 win.

Thompson-Robinson has been the backup to Joe Flacco for the past three games but still has found a way onto the field. Stefanski has brought in the rookie to be a running threat the last couple of weeks, or at least be a threat to take off.

Walker is back on the active roster for the second time this season. The veteran quarterback has made two starts and played in a total of six games. During that time, Walker has just one touchdown to five interpolations and is completing only 48 percent of his passes.

It is unclear whether DTR is heading to the injured reserve and how serious the injury is. It is another bump in the road for the Browns who have dealt with far more than their fair share of injuries.

Still, the Browns remain strong at 10-5 on the season and if all goes to plan, Walker won’t have to touch the field with Flacco holding things down.
