It’s unfortunate that we got less than two games with Nick Chubb on the field in 2023 thanks to a season-ending injury.

Chubb is already back working out again while he awaits ACL surgery, which is a great step. He has already had surgery to repair a torn meniscus. We aren’t going to see the shocking workout videos yet or anything, but Chubb being able to work out again is a step in the right direction.

An ideal return date for Chubb will be around the beginning of the 2024 season. The competitor in him will eye Week 1 but the team should be smart about it with this being his second major knee injury he’s had dating back to college.

It was a freak injury that just happens in the tough game of football, there was not a whole lot he could do about it. Chubb was hit low and his leg went the wrong way, simply put.

You can’t shy away from how bad the Browns’ offense misses Chubb. Second-year back Jerome Ford is doing what he can and Kareem Hunt is giving what he has left, unfortunately, neither amounts to Chubb.

Soon, Chubb will have his second procedure and be on the road to recovery and rehabbing the knee for good.
