Cleveland Browns have added needed depth to the roster after right tackle Jack Conklin went down with a season-ending injury.

The Browns are signing tackle Ty Nsekhe to the practice squad with Conklin out for the season with a torn MCL and ACL. Cleveland did not waste much time to make an addition to the roster.

Nsekhe is a veteran in the NFL who is now entering his 10th season. The 37-year-old most recently made eight starts for the Los Angeles Rams in 2022. In his career, Nsekhe has played with Washington, Buffalo, and Dallas additionally.

Throughout the nine previous seasons, Nsekhe has made 25 starts in 103 games played.

Rookie Dawand Jones is going to start at right tackle, but Cleveland had to add another body at the position with Conklin expected to go to the injured reserve for the season. Nsekhe gives them a veteran behind Jones, which is probably a benefit.

At 6-foot-8 and 325 pounds, Nsekhe is a large human and brings that same height that Jones does.

It’s a move that had to happen for the Browns and only made sense. The tackle market is pretty scarce but they found what they believe is their best fit.
