Heading into Week 1 of the NFL season, the Cleveland Browns are going to be pretty healthy outside of one injury designation.

Safety Juan Thornhill is the only player with a designation and he’s listed as questionable. After not practicing for two straight days, it’s fair to worry whether he will be able to suit up for his regular season debut in Cleveland or not.

The Browns got the best possible news they could have with Pro Bowl cornerback Denzel Ward, who cleared concussion protocol and was not listed on the injury report.

Ward had been out since the final preseason game for the Browns against the Kansas City Chiefs, due to a hit to the head in the first quarter. The last two days have been a step in the right direction, as Ward has been able to practice on a limited basis.

Having Ward out there with Ja’Marr Chase on the other side with the Bengals is huge. It will be Cleveland’s best against Cincinnati’s best.

If Thornhill is unable to go, it will be veteran Rodney McLeod taking his place alongside Grant Delpit. This means that Ronnie Hickman Jr. and D’Anthony Bell could see defensive work in Week 1.

All in all, if the Browns can get Thornhill active on Sunday, they’ll be fully healthy in a pivotal game to start the season.

Here is Cincinnati’s injury report.
