It seems like ‘bulletin board material’ is becoming a thing that is occurring more and more in the NFL. The Cleveland Browns just received their dose of it for the week.
Baltimore Ravens star linebacker Roquan Smith had some interesting comments going into the AFC North matchup in Week 4.
“We’re going to beat their tales in front of their wife and kids,” said Smith. “If you think from that perspective, any man is going to fight to death at that point.”
Smith went on to say that he’s going to fit right in with where the Cleveland Browns play.
“I think they call it the Dawg pound, I consider myself a dog so I’m right at home in that place,” Smith stated.
It’s the first of two matchups between the Ravens and Browns this season. These two teams are joined by the Pittsburgh Steelers at 2-1 in the division, while the Cincinnati Bengals are at 0-2.
Not that you need any extra motivation in the NFL, but the Browns can use this as such if they wish to. Large contracts and the ability to play football in front of thousands and thousands is pretty motivating in itself.
Baltimore and Cleveland have a long history of not liking each other for obvious reasons. That won’t be any different in the first game between these two in 2023.
