Vanderbilt defensive back Joejuan Williams has shot up NFL draft boards recently. With his stock rising, it is likely that he will be a day one or day two pick in the NFL Draft.

NFL draft analyst Daniel Jeremiah originally had Williams projected to be a third round selection, citing that he has the talent to potentially be an NFL starter, but needs to be paired with a coach who can improve his game.

However, in his final mock draft before the NFL Draft, Jeremiah had Williams being selected by the Los Angeles Chargers in the first round.

Here are five teams that could potentially select him in the NFL Draft:

Kansas City Chiefs:

The Chiefs have shown strong interest in Williams throughout the off-season.

Kansas City gave up the second most pass yards per game last season (273.4 yards), which was only behind Cincinnati's 275.9 yards per game.

With that in mind, the Chiefs will need to address their defense woes in this years draft — Chiefs' quarterback Patrick Mahomes is not likely to have as spectacular of a season as he did last year.

New England Patriots:

The Vanderbilt prospect has met with the Patriots twice throughout the draft process — a private visit and a private workout.

The Patriots have a good one-two punch at cornerback with Stephon Gilmore and Jason McCourty, but the team could improve their depth. In today's passing oriented league, it helps to have as many capable defensive backs as possible.

New England's pass defense was in the bottom half of the league last season, allowing 246 yards per game through the air.

Los Angeles Chargers:

The Chargers met with Williams at Vanderbilt's Pro Day, but that is the only known time that the team has met him.

The Chargers were ranked ninth in the NFL in pass defense last season, only allowing 228 yards per game.

However, the Chargers may want to fortify their secondary even more after the Patriots ejected them from the playoffs — Patriots quarterback Tom Brady threw for 343 yards and a touchdown in the lopsided game.

As mentioned, Daniel Jeremiah has the Chargers selecting Williams with their first round pick.

Houston Texans:

The Texans are another team that has showed interest in Williams. Houston has met with the Nashville prospect — they met with Williams at the Combine and hosted him for a private meeting.

Last season, Houston was the fifth worst team in the NFL in pass defense. The team gave up 260 yards per game.

The Texans currently only have four cornerbacks listed on ESPN's depth chart, so the team will need to add another corner in the NFL Draft.

Tennessee Titans:

The Titans are far less likely to select Williams than the other four teams mentioned. However, the Titans have still met with Williams twice — at the local Pro Day and for a private meeting.

I don't think Tennessee will have the opportunity to take Williams. They have other needs that are more dire to address than defensive back, and that is likely where their attention will be in the early rounds of the NFL Draft.
