2026 four-star safety Lasiah Jackson left no doubt how he feels about the Alabama Crimson Tide after his recent visit to Tuscaloosa.

The talented defensive back took an unofficial visit to Alabama this past weekend and he made it clear to On3 that he's "definitely interested in them more now".

A place like Alabama is where the best of the best go," said Jackson to On3. "That’s where iron sharpens iron. Coach Maurice Linguist, the defensive backs coach, feels really confident about me coming in next year and being able to compete with the other guys. I definitely plan on going back in the spring. Alabama is just different.”

Those are the kinds of comments you want to hear from elite recruits if you're an Alabama fan. It shows that head coach Kalen DeBoer and his staff are making strong impressions on recruits while coming off a 9-4 season that many saw as disappointing (though it was really a solid year for a first-time SEC head coach).

Jackson, 6-foot-3/170 lbs from Leesburg, GA, is rated by 247Sports as the No. 14 safety in the nation and the No. 19 player in the state of Georgia.

Alabama is very much in the mix for Jackson, but this recruiting battle is far from over.

Jackson told On3 that despite his great experience at Alabama this past weekend, he's currently keeping his options open.

Florida State, Georgia Tech, and Michigan are among the programs also in the mix for the four-star defensive back.
