The Alabama Crimson Tide is preparing for its next matchup in the second round of the College Football Playoff against the Indiana Hoosiers in the Rose Bowl.

As it gets ready, the team received an extra boost from an early enrollee from its 2026 recruiting class as part of the scout team, and he’s doing more than just helping at practice. It didn’t take long for Cederian Morgan to create a buzz the second he stepped on campus as a top recruit, and one Alabama player is already a big fan of what he’s seen.

Germie Bernard had nothing but praise for Morgan and believes he can be one of the best at Alabama, and he can’t wait to see what he does.

Germie Bernard has high praise for Cederian Morgan already

It didn’t take long for Mordan to become a hot topic for the team, and Alabama’s top wide receiver has loved everything he’s seen from him already and knows there’s even more to unlock.

“Man, he’s gonna be a great player here,” Bernard said. “I’m excited to watch his growth, and you know how he is going to succeed. He’s a big receiver. Obviously. He listens very well. He takes coaching. He’s eager to learn. He’s been really, really good, giving our guys on the scout team a look. And so, I mean, it’s exciting to, you know, see a guy like that, you know, come in early. It really helped me, you know, in the long run, and I think it’s gonna help him even more, elevate his game. So I’m just, I’m excited to see his game.”

Cederian Morgan was a top recruit and can be a special player at Alabama

There’s no doubt that Alabama’s wide receiver room will potentially look a lot different depending on who leaves for the 2026 NFL Draft and who returns. But, there’s one thing for certain: Morgan has everything it takes to be a day-one starter, and he’s getting a head start on it.

Morgan was the 44th overall recruit in the 2026 class and the fifth-ranked wide receiver in the country according to ON3/Rivals rankings. He steps in as a 6-4, 220-pound freshman, and his frame will be a huge weapon that defenses will struggle with.

Morgan isn’t just a red zone threat, though, and he will be a true deep ball option for whoever is playing quarterback next season, but for now, he’s already learning and making an impact at practice.
