The Alabama Crimson Tide is focused on a rematch with the Oklahoma Sooners next weekend, aiming to go on a run and use the extra week off to get some much-needed pieces back in the lineup.

With the SEC Championship and regular season behind us, the SEC has released every team’s full schedule, and Alabama’s is stacked with marquee matchups. But with all the questions and rumors swirling about Kalen DeBoer, even if we assume that he will be back in 2026, there is going to be a five-week stretch that defines the future of Alabama football.

Alabama faces a brutal five-game stretch in the middle of the 2026 season

From October 10th through November 14th, Alabama will take on the Georgia Bulldogs (home), Tennessee Volunteers (away), Texas A&M Aggies (home), LSU Tigers (away), and Vanderbilt Commodores (away).

Luckily for Alabama, the team keeps it standard with its idle week during Halloween weekend, which will be just before Alabama takes on a new-look Tigers squad under Lane Kiffin. That’s the other part of this schedule release, however.

If you recall, Alabama had an early bye this year and then another later in the season. The SEC has gone back to just one bye week now, and it puts more stress on health and mental stamina. So, between one less bye week and that stretch of games, it’s safe to say that it will be the toughest season yet for Kalen DeBoer and Alabama in the post-Nick Saban era.

All of five of those teams were ranked at some point in 2025, and many of them will be again in 2026 or riding a new wave of momentum in the case of LSU and even Vanderbilt after the Jared Curtis flip. Kalen DeBoer has yet to back down from a challenge, and 2026 is shaping up to be his biggest yet.
