The Alabama Crimson Tide could be landing one of the top 2027 recruits in the nation in the not-too-distant future.

On3’s Steve Wiltfong made a prediction on Monday for Alabama to land 2027 five-star wide receiver Monshun Sales.

“I’ve logged a prediction in favor of Alabama (for Sales) heading into the new year,” wrote Wiltfong. “Sales is a native of the Yellowhammer State and continues to have the Crimson Tide atop his process. It will be up to the other programs to change the pulse of his process.”

Monshun Sales is rated as the top wide receiver in the nation

Sales, 6-foot-5/195 pounds from Indianapolis, IN, is rated by 247Sports as the No. 1 wide receiver in the nation and the No. 5 overall player in the 2027 recruiting class.

247Sports director of scouting Andrew Ivins describes Sales as a “hulking wide receiver with game-breaking potential”.

“Hulking wide receiver with game-breaking potential given his size and speed,” wrote Ivins in his scouting report of Sales. “Looks the part with a muscled-up frame that appears to stretch just over 6-foot-4. Isn’t the most technically advanced route runner at this stage, but has shown the ability to sink his hips and make dynamic cuts in passing tournaments. Spent much of sophomore season challenging defenses vertically from an outside posting and should be able to do the same thing on Saturdays.”

Indiana, Michigan, Notre Dame, LSU, Ohio State, Miami, Tennessee, and Texas A&M are also in the mix for Sales, but it sounds like Alabama is out in front in this recruiting battle.
