The Alabama Crimson Tide have added 16 transfer players to their roster over the last couple of weeks.

And Alabama may not be done yet.

The Crimson Tide were named this week as the early school to watch for a former four-star recruit that just entered the transfer portal.

Alabama is in the mix for Miami transfer running back Girard Pringle Jr

News broke on Wednesday that Miami Hurricanes running back Girard Pringle Jr is entering the NCAA transfer portal.

The portal closed last Friday, but players from Miami and Indiana have five days after Monday’s national championship game to enter the portal.

On3’s Pete Nakos quickly pointed out Alabama as a team to watch for Pringle, though he also noted that a return to Miami can’t be ruled out.

“Sources have told On3 that Alabama is an early school to keep tabs on in this recruitment,” wrote Nakos. “A return to Miami has not officially been ruled out yet, either.”

Pringle, 5-foot-10/190 pounds from Tampa, FL, is a former four-star recruit who was rated by 247Sports as the No. 8 running back in the 2025 recruiting class.

The talented running back rushed for 375 yards and four touchdowns on 62 carries as a true freshman in 2025. He also caught four passes for 53 yards and a touchdown.

Pringle is a dynamic playmaker who would be a big asset in Alabama’s backfield. We’ll see if the Crimson Tide can close the deal over the next few days.
