A coaching change affects more than just the players on the current roster. The Alabama Crimson Tide expected to take some lumps after Nick Saban retired, but new head coach Kalen DeBoer is starting to settle into his new seat. Another positive move came this week as 2026 top cornerback Justice Fitzpatrick was re-offered and announced he'll visit Alabama first.

Minkah Fitzpatrick's Brother Offered Scholarship By Alabama

Minkah Fitzpatrick was a superstar at Alabama under Saban, producing 171 tackles, nine interceptions, four touchdowns, and 24 pass breakups. He was taken in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft by the Miami Dolphins and has become an All-Pro with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Justice is looking to follow in his brother's footsteps, and it might happen at Alabama. ‘I grew up around there & it’s very comfortable scenery for me,’ Fitzpatrick told Brett Greenberg of 247Sports. Saban had previously offered the 4-star cornerback a scholarship, and DeBoer decided he also wants the 6-foot-2, 185-pound athlete on his roster.

With 29 offers, Fitzpatrick has his pick of plenty of schools. Florida State, Auburn, Colorado, Georgia, Miami, and Ohio State are also positioning themselves for the Alabama legacy.

It may not matter, though. It's telling Fitzpatrick is outwardly saying he's comfortable in Tuscaloosa, and the Fort Lauderdale product has made it clear he's making his first visit to the Tide.

We'll continue to monitor the latest recruiting news and updates about Fitzpatrick and the rest of the 2026 class.
