The Alabama Crimson Tide aren't backing down from a fight with Ohio State for an in-state elite recruit. 2026 No. 2 cornerback prospect Elbert Hill is narrowing his list of top options down as the offseason develops, and Alabama is reportedly "surging in the race".
Hill will be visiting Alabama on the first day of spring visits. According to Chad Simmons of On3, Hill has become a top option for the Ohio native. He'll visit Tuscaloosa on March 3.
Simmons added that his game day visit for Georgia vs. Alabama and a January in-person visit gave Kalen DeBoer serious momentum.
Oregon and USC are still involved, but the latter would be a little surprising. The Ducks continually chase after Ohio State targets, and they recently stole an in-state prospect in Trey McNutt in this last class.
Alabama is now hoping to do the same.
