Week 13 of college football is stacked with matchups that offer massive playoff implications and Alabama vs. Oklahoma might be the most underrated of them all. Alabama is well on their way to the SEC Championship, but have two "nothing to lose" opponents left on their SEC calendar that could play spoilers, knocking them out of the playoffs. Oklahoma is finally getting healthy on both sides of the ball and could be the best version of themselves that we've seen yet. Which team will win this playoff-defining matchup?

Oklahoma's defense has slowed down almost everyone this year, but their quarterback play has been their downfall far too often. Alabama's offense has carried them lately, scoring 128 points in the last three games alone, but they have struggled against teams with consistent pass rush.

Heading into this surprisingly critical showdown between the Crimson Tide and the Sooners, media members of A to Z Sports who cover both teams decided to weigh in, sharing their predictions for this underrated SEC matchup.

Alabama 31, Oklahoma 16

Now that Jalen Milroe looks healthy again, Alabama's offense cannot be stopped. The Sooners defense led by star linebacker Danny Stutsman has been able to slow some good teams down this year, but it won't be able to deal with Milroe's rushing threat on top of the speed of Ryan Williams and Germie Bernard. The Sooners offense has been a problem as well. They likely only find the end zone once or twice on the game thanks to their lack of explosiveness. Crimson Tide win easily, covering the two-touchdown spread. – Travis May

Alabama 38, Oklahoma 13

Being unable to sustain drives and convert on red zone opportunities will come back to haunt Oklahoma dearly in this matchup. Alabama's ability to create chunk plays or sustain long drives and playing ball-control will give Oklahoma fits as the game progresses. There aren't enough offensive answers for the Sooners, which will allow Alabama to avalanche the scoreboard in the second half. – Ian Valentino

Alabama 28, Oklahoma 13

The Oklahoma Sooners are fresh off of a difficult bye week and look to close out their final home game of the season strong. Needing just one more win to clinch bowl eligibility, the Sooners will likely pull out all the stops to try and win this game, playing spoiler for the Crimson Tide. The defense will keep the Sooners in the game like they have all season, but there are simply too many problems offensively that Oklahoma doesn’t have the answers for. The defense will need to force multiple turnovers to keep the Sooners in this game, but Jalen Milroe and Ryan Williams might simply be too much for Oklahoma to keep pace with. – AJ Schulte

Alabama 24, Oklahoma 9

The Oklahoma Sooners have struggled to get anything going offensively in 2024. With a combination of bad coaching, bad offensive play, bad quarterback play, injuries, and turnovers, they won’t be competing against any top notch SEC school for some time. But this is a game they really need to win–or the next one against LSU–if they want to extend their streak of consecutive bowl games. However, I just think Milroe and company will have too much for an OU defense that stays on the field far too much due to its offensive woes. – Justin Churchill

Alabama 33, Oklahoma 20

The Tide are looking to finish strong and capture a premier spot in the CFP rankings, but OU is playing for something in their own right. With a shot a bowl on the line, the Sooners will be motivated coming off an emotional week and I think they keep the game close for a while. Ultimately, it comes down to a few key turnovers and a strong game from Jalen Milroe and Alabama prevails. – Rob Gregson
