A couple of former Alabama Crimson Tide star players shared a cool moment on Tuesday night after the Charlotte Hornets' win against the Phoenix Suns.
Former Alabama star basketball player Brandon Miller, who is in his second season with the Hornets, was spotted signing a jersey for former Crimson Tide quarterback Bryce Young after Charlotte snapped a 10-game losing streak with a win against the Suns.
Young, who just wrapped up his second season with the Carolina Panthers, sat courtside for the game.
It's pretty wild that both Miller and Young were selected as top two picks in their drafts—Young went No. 1 and Miller went No. 2—by teams in the same city in the same year (that says a lot about the current state of pro sports in the city of Charlotte).
Miller's NBA career is off to a terrific start. After averaging 17.3 points per game as a rookie last season, Miller is averaging 21.2 points per game so far in his second season as a pro.
Young, meanwhile, saw his career get off to a rocky start amid chaos in Carolina, but he rebounded well in the second half of the 2024 season. The former Alabama quarterback is now viewed as the answer for the Panthers moving forward.
