Alabama is now entering game week with a road matchup against Florida State first up on the docket. If you can believe it, it’s now been eight years since the Crimson Tide faced off against the Seminoles in Atlanta, Ga. for the 2017 Chick-fil-a Kickoff Game.

Things will look a lot different this time around. Nick Saban is no longer the head coach at Alabama, and Jimbo Fisher is no longer leading Florida State. Instead, it’ll be two coaches who were both reportedly in the mix to be Saban’s replacement in Kalen DeBoer, who obviously got the job, and Mike Norvell.

Keep in mind that this matchup is the first of a home-and-home series between Alabama and Florida State. The Seminoles are schedule to come to Tuscaloosa next season, assuming nothing changes following the SEC’s decision to go to nine conference games and require at least one “high quality” out of conference opponent.
