Last week, Alabama was announced as a finalist for two 4-Star prospects from the 2026 recruiting class: Brayden Rouse and Somourian Wingo. This week continued the trend for Kalen DeBoer and his team, as the Crimson Tide found itself among the finalists for two additional standout players.
The first is linebacker Nick Abrams II, who, according to Hayes Fawcett of On3, has narrowed his choices down to four schools: Alabama, Georgia, Michigan, and Oregon. The Owings Mills, Maryland native is ranked as the No. 6 linebacker in the nation by On3.
Abrams is an incredibly athletic linebacker capable of playing various positions on defense. Last season, during his junior year in 2024, the 6-foot-2, 215 lb prospect recorded an impressive 77 total tackles, nine tackles for loss, and four sacks. He also made an interception and even blocked a punt.
Fawcett also reported on Dixon-Wyatt's final list, which features five contenders: Alabama, Texas, Ohio State, Oregon, and USC. He is expected to announce his decision on Sunday, May 4th.
Ohio State seems confident in its standing, though.
Dixon-Wyatt is an exciting wide receiver prospect, standing at 6-foot-2 and weighing 180 lbs, which allows him to fulfill various roles on the field. He comes from Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana, California, and is ranked as the No. 12 wide receiver nationally, according to On3's Industry Rankings.
Last season, as a junior on one of the top high school football teams in the country, he registered 50 receptions for over 600 yards and five touchdowns.
Despite his upcoming announcement on May 4th, the talented wide receiver has summer visits scheduled with each of his finalists, starting with Tuscaloosa on May 16th, followed by a visit to Ohio State at the end of the month on May 30th. He then has three more visits planned to USC (June 6), Texas (June 13), and Oregon (June 20).
Currently, Alabama has just five commitments in the 2026 class, but the program has been on a strong recruiting streak lately. If DeBoer and his staff can secure either of these two talented prospects, the Crimson Tide will continue to ascend the recruiting rankings.
