Less than one month after top Carrollton, Georgia, wide receiver Ryan Mosley said "They love me" about Alabama, he's made an announcement that will have the Crimson Tide quite happy. Despite the 4-star playmaker being projected to land with the rival Georgia Bulldogs, Alabama made his top-five list.
Mosley, via On3's Hayes Fawcett, announced he's down to Alabama, Georgia, Texas A&M, Nebraska, and South Carolina.
The fascinating part of Mosley's recruitment is how fast things are ramping up. Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer had Mosley on campus last weekend on an unofficial visit and does not have an official visit lined up. That makes it curiously unique that he'd suddenly have Alabama in his final cut.
Alabama's rapid rise in the race for the 6-foot-3 playmaker could make this race more interesting than originally thought. He was candid earlier this month when admitting he's feeling like a priority prospect in Tuscaloosa.
Mosley's first encounter with Alabama was a widely positive one. He attended Alabama's matchup with Western Kentucky last September.
“It was fast and explosive,” Mosley said. “I liked seeing true freshmen playing.”
Alabama offered the 2026 prospect in March 2024.
“It’s great,” Mosley said when discussing his relationship with Alabama. “Coach (Jamarcus) Shepard, Coach Sanders, we talk regularly. The relationship is definitely there and building.”
We'll see if the tide starts to turn in the battle for Mosley.
