The national sports media outlet recently predicted the top 10 most explosive offenses for the 2025 college football season and they have Alabama at No. 10.
"If Alabama finds better balance and generate a rushing attack, this group has the star power to be one of the SEC's most explosive offenses," wrote 247Sports' Brad Crawford.
From 247Sports: Alabama finished in the SEC's mid-tier across several offensive categories in 2024, a far cry from the expectation level for Kalen DeBoer. That changes if the Crimson Tide get more consistency in the passing game from Ty Simpson or Austin Mack. Both are better fits for DeBoer's offensive scheme than Milroe, whose strength was his freelance ability and not necessarily waiting on routes to open up. If Alabama finds better balance and generate a rushing attack, this group has the star power to be one of the SEC's most explosive offenses.
Alabama, despite finishing with a 9-4 record, had the No. 22 scoring offense in the nation in 2024.
That's not too bad for a coach that was filling the biggest shoes in the sport while adjusting to life in the SEC.
DeBoer has always had dangerous offenses and there's no reason to think that he won't moving forward at Alabama — especially since young star wide receiver Ryan Williams will have a year of experience under his belt.
The 2024 season wasn't up to the standard that's been created at Alabama over the last 15 years, but it was still an impressive debut season for DeBoer.
Now that DeBoer has settled into his role as Alabama's head coach, I'd look for the program to take a big step forward in 2025. Anyone writing off the Crimson Tide after a 9-4 season in 2024 is making a big mistake.
