The Alabama Crimson Tide's 2024 schedule will play a part in how new head coach Kalen DeBoer's debut season goes. With the season quickly approaching, we're looking at the three-game stretch that will either make or break Alabama's 2024 season. Winning even two of these games could land the Tide in the SEC title game once again.
Toughest Stretch of Alabama's 2024 Schedule
Week 7: vs. South Carolina Gamecocks
The game before the Third Saturday in October could be a trap game. Even with Spencer Rattler in the NFL, South Carolina added Rahem Sanders from Arkansas to anchor their offense. Redshirt freshman LaNorris Sellers is a high-upside quarterback as well, and the recipe isn't unprecedented for a team that can attack in unique ways to make a road upset.
The Tide will be favorites here, especially being at home, but this is the entry game to a stretch with four ranked opponents in five games.
Week 8: at Tennessee Volunteers
Outside of hosting Georgia in Week 5, this is the game circled on every Tide fan's schedule. Going to Neyland Stadium to face an explosive Volunteers offense is a major upset alert game. Sure, Nick Saban whipped the Vols' behind over his tenure, but this Tennessee team is loaded.
The development of redshirt freshman Nico Iamaleava will be the key to it all. Alabama ran all over Tennessee last year, but the Vols return a much more experienced front seven to combat them. If Iamaleava is ready, this will come down to the wire.
Week 9: vs. Missouri Tigers
Missouri doesn't have the top-tier athletes in the trenches to overwhelm Alabama, but they sure have the playmaking to pull off an upset after two tough games. Led by possible WR1 in 2025 Luther Burden, senior QB Brady Cook, an effective running game, and a fast defense, the Tigers will compete.
