The Alabama Crimson Tide is preparing for its next matchup in the College Football Playoff against Indiana in the Rose Bowl.

After a thrilling comeback victory against the Oklahoma Sooners, the Crimson Tide is riding a lot of momentum, even as an underdog. One of the biggest factors that helped Alabama bounce back was finally getting healthy at the right time, and more players could be returning, including a key starter.

EDGE LT Overton took to social media to give his own injury update, which will be a major boost to Alabama’s defense.

We saw the impact of Alabama finally getting some players back to start the College Football Playoff, and it appears to be gaining one of its best defensive players. Head coach Kalen DeBoer has been providing injury updates, and it sounded positive for Overton, but the source himself said he’s good to go after missing weeks with an illness.

Alabama started to get pressure in the second half against Oklahoma, and it turned into a difference maker. The defense will need to do the same against Fernando Mendoza, so he doesn’t have time to make big plays downfield. Overton wasn’t the only injury worth keeping an eye on, as a couple of others got banged up against Oklahoma.

Tim Keenan and Red Morgan have made some big plays the last few weeks, and both were injured against Oklahoma, but are trending in the right direction for sure.

“Tim [Keenan] was a little bit sore after the game,” DeBoer said, “But I’m expecting that he’ll be good to go. Maybe, still working through here early in the week, but we got some time, and so expect him to be good to go. I expect him [Red Morgan], again, lower extremity, yeah, really kind of the same as TK, you know. I would expect him to be ready to go, but the last couple of days and today still a little bit sore.”

If all three players play, as expected, then this would be the healthiest Alabama has been since September. Indiana is no easy draw as the No. 1 seed in the College Football Playoff, so the Crimson Tide will need a full army to be ready for a four-quarter battle at the Rose Bowl.
