College Football 26 is almost here! And just like last year, various player and team rankings continue to leak so fans can get an early taste of what's to come.

Most everyone who plays the college football video game loves to build a dynasty as soon as they hit the sticks. So, today we'll be taking a quick dive into the top five teams that should help fans win right away and build a dynasty.

This is not a "you should build a Missouri State dynasty for kicks and giggles" article. No. This is all about finding the best teams that should give users an immediate head start towards success with plenty of weapons to maximize enjoyment as they crush their opponents. Let's jump in.

[Note: The best compilation of this sourced/released information can be found at TeamCrafters here.]

1. LSU Tigers

It's unbelievable that the LSU Tigers are expected to be tied for just the tenth highest overall rated team in College Football 26. Garrett Nussmeier is tied for the highest quarterback rating (92 overall). Caden Durham is tied for the fastest running back in the game (95 speed). Barion Brown (99 speed) and Jelani Watkins (98 speed) combine for the fastest wide receiver duo in the entire game.

The LSU Tigers are going to be a cheat code that may need to be nerfed shortly after release if the apparently leaked ratings are accurate. The only weak spot really looks like it's the offensive line, which makes sense given that the team is replacing four starters from last season's squad.

2. Oregon Ducks

EA Sports is extremely high on quarterback Dante Moore. He may only be an 84 overall, but with three more seasons of eligibility Moore gives users plenty of time to build him up into an unbeatable force. He's also way, way faster than he is in real life (allegedly an 86 speed player). Then of course the Ducks have absurd skill players across the board too.

The quartet of veteran wide receiver Evan Stewart (95 speed), transfer talent Malik Benson (94 speed), true freshman five star Dakorien Moore (96 speed), and special tight end Kenyon Sadiq (84 speed) is set to be one of the most explosive offenses in the game. Plus Makhi Hughes at running back? Not even fair.

The depth beyond Makhi Hughes isn't great, but it's hard to nitpick Oregon's roster.

3. Notre Dame Fighting Irish

Notre Dame isn't a complete cheat code like the first two, but if leaks are accurate they offer a fun mix for users. Young QB CJ Carr is just a 79 overall, but he's got four years of eligibility. Phenomenal option to see a QB's entire career through.

The entire rest of the roster is extremely balanced with virtually zero true weaknesses. The wide receivers are stacked with Malachi Fields, Jaden Greathouse, and Will Pauling all at 85 overall and above. Then of course Jeremiyah Love looks like he's virtually unstoppable as the highest rated running back in the game and tied for the best speed (95).

The defensive line and linebackers could be better, given the real life talent there, but Notre Dame provides just about everything fans could want in a potential dynasty build.

4. Alabama Crimson Tide

Alabama might be almost too easy for some fans who want more of a challenge with their dynasty build. Why? Their defense is apparently a 96 overall, with absurd depth across the board, making playing that side of the ball quite simple compared to most every other team.

The Crimson Tide also have one of the cover athletes in Ryan Williams at wide receiver (95 overall and 96 speed). The young five star quarterback Keelon Russell is only an 80 overall, but with 88 speed among other impressive athletic numbers he could quickly become unstoppable. The other wide receiver options are already solid as well: Germie Bernard (87 overall), Isaiah Horton (87 overall), Jaylen Mbakwe (97 speed), Jalen Hale (95 speed). Plus, the running backs are incredibly deep with five players rated 78 or higher from day one.

The tight end position offers virtually nobody remotely useable, but once that's fixed in year two Alabama dynasties will be a tough out.

5. Florida Gators

DJ Lagway is likely going to be an unfair dynasty quarterback in this game. He is the only true sophomore QB rated 90 overall or higher from day one. His 88 speed, with 90+ agility and speed at 6'3", 240+ pounds essentially make him just about the best QB in the game immediately, but players can keep him for potentially three years of their initial dynasty.

Florida has a strong wide receiver room immediately, but also offer four high pedigree freshman to choose from that could stack wild stats in all three remaining seasons with DJ Lagway: Dallas Wilson (80 overall), Vernell Brown (80), Naeshaun Montgomery (73), TJ Abrams (71).

Most of the running backs are too slow, so the run game might be frustrating to some fans early, but that's the only significant issue with Florida.

Honorable Mentions

– Texas Longhorns: Arch Manning and fun balanced weapons
– South Carolina: LaNorris Sellers and 99 speed Nyck Harbor
– Penn State: Elite RB duo Nick Singleton and Kaytron Allen
