For gamers and college football fanatics worldwide, the return of the NCAA Football franchise is a massive moment. Now dubbed College Football 25, this July's release of the refreshed series ends an 11-year drought that was brought on by former UCLA basketball player Ed O'Bannon's lawsuit over the NCAA's usage of images and likenesses. NCAA 14 was the last iteration of the insanely fun franchise, as EA Sports had to close up shop until NIL came about.

If you're like me, you've said plenty of times over this stretch that you'd pay anything to have College Football 25 back. Well, now's your chance to put your money where your mouth is. A GameStop employee shared a screenshot of their internal database listing for College Football 25, and the Heisman edition will cost $149.99.

We don't yet know what the Heisman edition will feature, but my best guess is it's a mixture of alternate uniforms and Ultimate Team credits. It's not the base level of the game, either. The standard PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X edition will cost $69.99. That's the going rate for new games, in case you're an old head like me who hasn't bought as many brand-new copies over the last decade.

There could also be a deluxe edition that splits the difference. Those who don't care for an ultimate team mode will likely eye one of the lower-tier options. After all, it's all about franchise mode, baby.

The details of the game have yet to be fully confirmed, but more news is coming soon. One of the game's covers leaked last week, and EA Sports has confirmed there will be in-game advertisements. But this also isn't just a Madden re-skin, which is fantastic if you've grown to dislike the lazy efforts put into the classic franchise over this past decade.
