With the 2025 NFL Hall of Fame class being announced on Thursday, it felt very appropriate that yet another HOF player was added to the Colorado coaching staff on the same night. It was announced that former Indianapolis Colts and St. Louis Rams superstar Marshall Faulk would join Deion Sanders' staff to coach running backs.

Aside from both Sanders and Faulk, Hall of Fame defensive tackle Warren Sapp is also on staff. Sapp currently holds the position of Senior Quality Control Analyst for the defense. Between those three, they were selected to 22 Pro Bowls, named All-Pro 13 times, and won four super bowls.

Faulk was a dynamic player for San Diego State for three seasons, rushing for 4,589 yards and 57 touchdowns, good for a per game average of 131.1 yards and six yards per carry. He also hauled in another 82 passes for 973 yards and five scores in the passing game.

That career led to Faulk being selected with the second overall selection in the 1994 NFL Draft by the Indianapolis Colts. Faulk would spend his 12-year NFL career with the Colts and the St. Louis Rams, eventually earning a place as a NFL Hall of Famer.

He would end his career with 12,279 yards and 100 touchdowns on the ground. Faulk was also one of the best pass game weapons we have ever seen from the running back position, finishing with 767 receptions for 6,875 yards and 36 more scores. That touchdown total still ranks Faulk seventh all time in NFL history.

Following Faulk’s professional career, he was a longtime NFL Network analyst. He now moves into the next phase of his career, a position coach. Faulk was lauded for his all around game as a player, and attention to detail. It will be interesting to see the impact he makes on Saturdays.
