On Tuesday, Texas Longhorns quarterback Arch Manning announced that he's decided to opt in to the new EA Sports College Football game that's set to be released on July 19.
Manning's announcement comes just a few months after it was initially reported that the former five-star recruit wasn't going to be in the game because he wanted to focus on "playing football on the field" (via OrangeBloods.com's Anwar Richardson).
Manning announced that he's opting in to the game via a 40 second video that features former Super Bowl MVP Eli Manning, Arch's uncle.
Shortly after the announcement, Eli took to Twitter/X.com to share the video and he included a quip that referenced Richardson's report from March about Arch focusing on "playing football on the field".
"[Arch Manning] is in the game! It’s a great way to focus on football," tweeted Eli.
There's no doubt after that tweet from Eli that the Manning family is well-aware of how Arch and his every move is covered by the media. But that's not a surprise — no one has mastered branding quite like the Mannings.
