When you look at the Florida Gators' depth chart at wide receiver, they have some real talent in the pipeline.

Eugene "Trey" Wilson III and J. Michael Sturdivant are at the top of the depth chart with Kahleil Jackson and Aidan Mizell rounding out a very talented group. Head coach Billy Napier also secured the talents of two talented freshmen in Dallas Wilson and Vernell Brown III.

Despite a very deep receiver room, Napier is still targeting elite level recruits at the position, and he secured the visit of top-50 recruit wide receiver Davian Groce on June 13th.Davian

Davian Groce set to visit Florida June 13th

Texas has been a focus for the Gators when it comes to recruiting, and it's not too much of a surprise, especially with the success of DJ Lagway. They also offered the number one quarterback in the 2027 recruiting class Kavian Bryant, as well.

The Frisco Lone Star product visiting the Gators is a positive step toward securing his commitment. The Gators (27.4%) trail just Baylor (41.5%) on the On3 Sports Recruiting Prediction Machine. He ranks as the number six wide receiver and the 43rd overall recruit by On3 Sports.

Groce isn't the only wide receiver that the Gators are eyeing. Four-star Craig Dandridge just put the Gators in his top-six schools as well, and they have their eyes on a few other top talents at the position.

The real intrigue with Groce is how he plays the game. He was initially ranked as a running back, but profiles to be more of a versatile weapon than anything. Remind you on anyone, say, Percy Harvin?

The 6'1, 190 lb player is a true weapon who can be deployed in a myriad of ways, which would go incredibly well next season with both DJ Lagway at quarterback and with how deep the receiving corps is.
