The Florida Gators are going to be a team to watch during the 2025 season, mainly because of the presence of star quarterback DJ Lagway. He will get featured on the new Netflix show Any Given Saturday, which drops August 5th, will prioritize focusing on many high-profile matchups.
DJ Lagway featured in new Netflix series
Lagway is quoted in the above promo video talking about playing his first Florida game.
"My first Florida game, surreal moment. There's been a lot of expectations."
Lagway isn't going to be the only Gators quarterback featured, as now Houston Texans draft pick Graham Mertz talked about the torn ACL he suffered against the Tennessee Volunteers.
"Whenever something goes bad, I can either feel sorry for myself, or I can embrace it, attack it. I still got a job to do."
This looks to be a really interesting series, especially for those who are big fans of college football. The idea seems to be focusing on the big matchups and pageantry of the SEC, which is the best in the nation. If you know how special football is in the Southeast portion of the United States, then you know how good the idea is. If you don't, prepare to be amazed at how seriously they take their college football.
