The DJ Lagway effect is in full effect for the Florida Gators.

Over the last two weeks, head coach Billy Napier has been on a heater when it comes to recruiting. The Gators have jumped up to 15th in On3's recruiting rankings after being as low as the 50s. It helps when a program-changing quarterback emerges in Lagway.

Ahead of Saturday's rivalry game with Florida State, the Gators flipped another prospect with offensive tackle Tavaris Dice changing his commitment from Auburn to Florida.

On Friday, the Gators flipped edge rusher Jayden Woods from Penn State. He joins four-star running back Byron Louis, four-star quarterback Tramell Jones and three-star interior offensive lineman Daniel Pierre Louis, all of whom flipped from Florida State, three-star wide receiver Muizz Tounkara (Arizona), offensive tackle Jahari Medlock (Cincinnati) and four-star linebacker Ty Jackson (USC)

The Gators have the momentum rolling in terms of recruiting and are still looking to make moves. They are still in contention for three five-star recruits.

  • IOL Solomon Thomas (Florida State
  • WR Jaime Ffrench (Texas)
  • WR Dallas Wilson (Oregon)

A once lame-duck head coach has the Gators program rolling really well into the 2025 season and it has a chance to get even better.
