Florida Gators head coach Billy Napier has been on a heater over the summer when it comes to recruiting, and it’s only getting better. Rivals’ Sam Spiegelman and Steve Wiltfong predicted the Gators to land five-star 2027 quarterback Elijah Haven. What’s really big about this projection is that Haven is the number one ranked quarterback in the 2027 recruiting class.

Five-star QB Elijah Haven projected to commit to Florida Gators

This is a huge one for the Gators, especially Napier, who is firmly on the hot seat going into the 2025 season. Over the last few months, the Gators have made massive strides with Haven, and are set to host him when Texas comes to The Swamp on October 4th.

Haven isn’t jhust the number one quarterback in the class, he’s the 15th overall prospect in the 2027 class. Quarterback has been really good for Napier when it comes to recruiting, as he landed the top prospect at the position in DJ Lagway in the 2024 recruiting class, and Haven would be in line to be his successor.

“Gainesville, from what we can tell, is a great college town,” Elijah’s father Kwame told Rivals’ Steve Wiltfong at the end of July. “The campus is extremely nice. They have what they call the GatorMade program which my wife and I are extremely excited about. The development and exposure for their players off the field, they travel internationally and do those type of things. They help them advance their careers outside of football. Also starting to get really close with coach (Billy) Napier and coach (Ryan) O’Hara and coach (Russ) Callaway. All three have been consistent with outreach and making us feel like a priority.”

Haven currently has a 97.2% chance to land with the Gators per Rivals’ Recruiting Prediction Machine, and would be the second commit in the 2027 class with athlete Tramond Collins.
