Florida Gators first injury report has two major developments in the same position group that will impact game vs. Tennessee Volunteers
Some huge developments on the injury report.
The Florida Gators come into Saturday night’s game against the Tennessee Volunteers with a very outside chance of making a bowl game at 3-7. Even so, the final two games will be played in The Swamp and will be rivalry games, both of which are important for the fanbase, with the final game being against the Florida State Seminoles.
The first injury report for the Gators is out, and there are some very interesting developments, especially on the defensive line.
Caleb Banks removed from injury report
We saw defensive tackle Caleb Banks see improvement on the injury report last week when his status changed from out to doubtful. On the first one of the week, Banks saw his removal from the report.
Getting Banks back is going to be huge for the Gators, especially with fellow defensive tackle Michai Boireau listed as out. His return will be incredibly welcomed.
The other major change on the defensive line comes from edge rusher George Gumbs Jr. He is listed as out, as he is set to have surgery on his right knee. Gators Online noted that it’s not anything serious, and he could potentially return against the Seminoles.
The other really interesting piece of the injury report is wide receiver Vernell Brown III. He was a game time decision against the Ole Miss Rebels, and he was ruled out just before kickoff. If he can play, that will be a huge boost to the passing game for DJ Lagway, as both Dallas Wilson and Tre Wilson are out for the season.
The next couple of injury reports will give us more clarity, but Banks being removed is massive.
