The NFL Scouting Combine is fully underway, and the first group of players is set to hit the field for positional drills and athletic testing.

Before they take the field, all of the players get their measurements done. The defensive line and edge rusher groups had a lot of interesting players whose measurables will be important for their NFL Draft stock. One player that many were fascinated to see the numbers of was Florida Gators defensive tackle Caleb Banks. He already had his height and weight measured at the Senior Bowl, but we didn’t see his arm length or wingspan.

Caleb Banks has elite measurables at NFL Scouting Combine

The only thing for sure about Banks is that he is a rare specimen at defensive tackle. That gives NFL teams a fascinating profile going into the draft come April. When they get on the clock, it’ll be hard to pass on Banks, who measured out of this world.

TraitMeasurementPercentile
Height606298th
Weight32789th
Hands10.875″94th
Arm Length35″94th
Wingspan85.75″99th

That is an incredible length for Banks, and something we knew he had, but seeing it hit 35″ takes it to another level. What’s important is that Banks understands how to use his arm length on the interior, where having really long arms doesn’t always give you an advantage on the inside.

Banks is set to take the field later on Thursday, and he has a chance to take things to another level with explosive athletic testing. He can cement himself as not just a first-round pick, but also a top-10 pick with explosive athletic testing.

As things sit, Banks is a likely first-round pick, and the only two things that could prevent it are poor medicals or poor athletic testing on Thursday.
