Former Florida Gators standout earns prestigious honor after dominant first NFL season in an important area
Former Florida Gators wide receiver Chimere Dike made the Pro Bowl Games as a rookie with the Tennessee Titans as a kick returner.
Former Florida Gators wide receiver Chimere Dike earned a prestigious honor as a rookie with the Tennessee Titans by making the Pro Bowl Games as the return specialist for the AFC.
Dike was one of seven Florida Gators selected in the 2025 NFL Draft, and he was the first selected with the 103rd overall pick by the Titans. Dike was also the first of two wide receivers selected by the Titans, with Elic Ayomanor being taken later in the round at 136th overall.
Chimere Dike is the best returner in the NFL
Going into the NFL Draft, the Minnesota Vikings had limited draft capital, and Dike was someone who I targeted to be a day three selection for them.
Wide receiver is a position that the Vikings need to take a chance on in the NFL Draft because the receiver position isn’t very certain. Jalen Nailor is a free agent after the 2025 season, and Rondale Moore is a dart throw at best. This is where Dike comes into play.
He might not have gotten a lot of production across his college career at both Wisconsin and Florida, but there is a lot to work with.
The athleticism is evident on both the field and track. He excels in creating separation and is especially good on in-breaking routes. There are some potential parallels to Puka Nacua (albeit not the same player) where he can take a huge leap in this offense, plus he can return punts and be a special teams ace.
Dike has been a really good player for the Titans, with most of his success in returns. However, he’s been good as a receiver as well. He’s caught 41 passes for 341 yards and four touchdowns, used mainly on deep crossers and screens.
He will get an opportunity to work with the offense during the Pro Bowl Games, but it’s his return ability why he’s getting the Pro Bowl nod. Dike has two punt return touchdowns with an 18.2 average, while having a 25.6 return average on 60 kick returns.
Dike also nearly had a third punt return touchdown, but the punter tripped him.
Dike was always destined to be a great special teams player, and this is something we could see from the get-go in Gainesville.
