The Florida Gators are in dire straits heading into their third game of the season, and it’s in Baton Rouge against the LSU Tigers.

Wednesday means all SEC teams with a game in conference play have to release an injury report, and the Gators have six players listed as out.

Florida Gators injury report vs. LSU, Caleb Banks to return

The biggest news is that Banks is set to return on the interior of the defensive line. He missed the first two games after suffering an injury during fall camp, and that ended up being a crucial loss against South Florida. With him against quarterback Garrett Nussmeier, there is a significantly higher chance that the Gators will get the win.

It’s tough to see Wilson still injured, especially after the incredible spring he had. 10 catches for 195 yards and two touchdowns was a historic spring game. Fans were very excited about seeing him hit the field, but it hasn’t happened yet due to injury.

The other major loss is McCray. He suffered a broken foot against South Florida and is set to have surgery to repair it. He was going to be a major factor in the edge rusher room this season, but it hasn’t come to fruition. McCray is set to miss an undetermined amount of time, meaning Tyreak Sapp and George Gumbs Jr. will need to play just a bit more.
