The focus for the Florida Gators over the next four games will be to finish the season strong and become bowl eligible.

Interim head coach Billy Gonzales has the team on the right track, including leading the Georgia Bulldogs in the fourth quarter. They fell short 24-20, but it was a spirited effort with good coaching and some high level play. Ultimately, a brutal missed call landed them in the loss column.

One of the biggest issues with the game against the Bulldogs was injuries. The offense was missing multiple wide receivers, including Dallas Wilson, who suffered a foot injury during the game.

Florida Gators set to have two wide receivers return vs. Kentucky Wildcats

Heading into Saturday’s game, the Gators were already set to have Wilson miss the game, as he was out for the season, along with Tre Wilson being ruled out on Wednesday. Thursday night gave the Gators some really good news, as both Vernell Brown III and Aidan Mizell were removed from the injury report and will play against the Kentucky Wildcats.

This is huge for the Gators, as you can tell the injuries are mounting in a big way. The lack of established wide receivers against the Bulldogs was evident in more ways than one, which made life difficult for DJ Lagway.

With both Brown and Mizell on the field with J. Michael Sturdivant, that will give the Gators’ offense a chance to win the game on Saturday.
