The Florida Gators had a huge recruiting event over the weekend where head coach Billy Napier hosted multiple top prospects, including multiple five-star prospects. The Gators made a lot of positive impressions across the board.

They made such a big impression on one player that they secured his commitment, and that came from three-star offensive lineman G'Nivre Carr from IMG Academy.

Per the On3 Industry ranking, Carr is the 39th-ranked interior offensive lineman and 67th overall recruit in the state of Florida. At 6'4 and 325 lbs, Carr has all the size that you want in an interior offensive lineman.

He chose to go to Florida because of development. They just had Brandon Crenshaw-Dickson drafted in last year's draft, and both left tackle Austin Barber and center Jake Slaughter currently projected to go top-50, and potentially the first round.

“We always have something to talk about, whether it’s technique or what I can do to get better,” Carr told Gators Online. “I’m always sending him my practice film to see what I’m doing wrong. So when I get there, it won’t be surprising that he’s coaching me that way. Or it won’t be a disappointment, thinking I don’t know how to take his coaching.”

Carr wasn't the only prospect that the Gators made a major impression on over the course of the weekend, as they made headway with multiple players. Weekends like this are going to be huge for the Gators to continue building up their 2026 recruiting class, which currently sits at three commitments.
