Head coach Billy Napier has been getting work done when it comes to recruiting. The Gators just finished their third and final major recruiting weekend of the summer and had three commits before noon on Saturday.
- Four-star running back Carsyn Baker
- Four-star wide receiver Marquez Daniel
- Four-star defensive lineman JaReylan McCoy
It didn't take too long on Monday morning to get another one, as three-star offensive tackle Javarii Luckas has committed to the Gators over Miami, West Virginia, and Penn State.
From Bella Glade, Florida, Luckas is the 11th commit in the 2026 class, and the eighth from the state of Florida. Napier has made in-state recruiting a priority and it's been paying off in droves.
Per the On3 Sports Industry Ranking, Luckas ranks as the 98th offensive tackle in the country with an 84.20 ranking at 6'6 and 305 lbs. He joins fellow three-star Chancellor Campbell as the offensive lineman committed to the Gators thus far.
The really nice part about the fit for Luckas with the Gators is his versatility. Luckas can play both tackle and guard spots for the Gators. With the focus on offensive tackle for the Gators, having that kind of versatility could end up being huge.
After the commitment of Luckas, the Gators rank 13th in the nation and sixth in the SEC for the 2026 recruiting class.
One day before his commitment, Florida Gators predicted to land four-star recruit after first visit on campus
It’s a huge day for the Florida Gators’ recruiting class
After landing commitment from top edge rusher, Florida Gators continue momentum with another elite in-state player to create excellent duo
If Billy Napier pulls this off, the recruiting class will make a huge vault
