Recruiting for the Florida Gators is getting stronger and stronger over the last few weeks. Over the weekend, head coach Billy Napier landed two commits over their big recruiting weekend;

They have continued momentum across the board with multiple positions, but the wide receiver position has been heating up over the last few weeks.

The Gators landing the local product Williams is a great one for Napier. Not only are they continuing to recruit well locally, with five of their six commitments from the state of Florida, Napier understands talent at the position and is targeting some unique players. Last year, Williams had over 1,400 yards receiving and 1,000 yards rushing.

One other player that the Gators are rising up the ranks for is five-star wide receiver Cederian Morgan. Once thought to be a near lock to commit to Alabama, Morgan visited Gainesville over the weekend and put the Gators in his top two.

Morgan is much more of a traditional X-receiver at 6'4 and 220 lbs as the 15th-ranked recruit in the nation and the second-best receiver per the On3 Sports Industry Ranking. He's a tremendous player who could change things for the Gators on offense with emerging freshman Dallas Wilson ready to take a huge step forward.

It's nowhere near a done deal with Morgan, who has been trending to stay in his home state of Alabama for some time. He will take visits to Auburn (June 13th) and Alabama (June 20th). Those will be massive, especially with a commitment date looming on July 2nd.

Right now, the Gators being in Morgan's top two is a huge deal for multiple reasons. He's not only a great prospect, but at a position where the Gators could use more talent at. It's obviously a focus for Napier right now, and if he can close the deal, it will go a long way toward a successful 2026 class.
