Recruiting never stops in the world of college football. Florida Gators head coach Billy Napier has been working hard on the recruiting trail to bring players in. He's received two commitments over the last few days, including three-star offensive lineman G'Nivre Carr and four-star safety Kaiden Hall.

While the 2026 recruiting class is the focus, Napier isn't limiting his reach to the upcoming class. He's looking forward as well. The latest scholarship offer that Napier extended is to an in-state product: offensive lineman George Selvie III.

If the name is familiar to you, it should be, as he's the son of former NFL and South Florida edge rusher George Selvie.

Selvie is currently unranked, despite being 6'4 and 265 lbs. It's not too surprising that Selvie doesn't have a grade yet, as he just finished his freshman season of high school. He's also shorter than most of the offensive tackle prospects Napier has been targeting, as they are mostly 6'7 and taller.

Coming from NFL bloodlines is a great thing as well, since there will be an inherent advantage over other recruits.

His dad, George Sr., was in the National Football League for six seasons after being a seventh-round pick of the St. Louis Rams in 2010. He played in 80 games with 32 starts with five different teams. Throughout his career, Selvie notched 14.0 sacks, and 25.0 tackles for loss, and four forced fumbles.

It's an interesting offer from Napier and the Gators, one that is going to be interesting to monitor over the next couple of years.
