Clemson Tigers fans may have just cost the program a ton of money after beating the Florida State Seminoles
The Tigers fan base rushed the field a little too early against the Seminoles.
The Florida State Seminoles were once again embarrassed, but this time it was on the road, and not at home like we saw against Pitt. They have been more of a home team in 2025, though, where three of their five losses have come. Death Valley, the home of the Clemson Tigers, is one of the hardest places to play, but in 2025, the Noles should win that game every single time.
The Tigers aren’t a good team. Then again, neither are the Seminoles. Regardless, the team that showed up was embarrassed by the team that did. Statistically, one of the best offenses in the country, FSU, was held to just 10 points. However, in a way, they may have cost Clemson, their rival, a significant amount of money.
Well, not really, but you can take it as a moral victory if you want.
Clemson may have allowed fans on the field too early vs. Florida State
Clemson has a tradition called Gather at the Paw, where fans meet at the center of the field after home wins. They do this after the team leaves the field, but in this case, neither team nor its coaches were off the field.
The fans ran onto the field way too early, and as Grayson Mann of Tiger Net tweeted, the ACC could look into it. If they do, we could see Clemson end up with a fine, similar to what a team would get when its fans storm the field after a big win.
As for the Noles, this year is a complete wash. Sure, a four-win team is an improvement on last year’s two-win team. However, it’s just not good enough, especially when they are losing the way they are losing, to the teams they are losing to. This team is too good on paper, compared to the ACC, to be losing the way it has been.
This is not the same team that beat the Alabama Crimson Tide. I’m sure fans are tired of hearing that, but they have three more games left to win two more and make a bowl game. Virginia Tech, NC State, and the Florida Gators will be looking to play spoiler.
