Seminoles have sent out an offer to a potentially elite recruit before he gets the recognition he deserves
The Seminoles need Muhammad.
Despite the turbulence, the Florida State Seminoles continue to recruit aggressively. Their 2026 class ranks 15th nationally. For 2027, they already hold the No. 13 class and show no signs of slowing down.
While the 2027 class is promising so far, there is still considerable work to be done on the recruiting front. Currently, they have five players committed—three four-stars and two rated as three-stars with the potential to move up by National Signing Day next season. Adding more highly rated recruits to their class would help propel them higher than the sixth class.
Building on their recruiting momentum, the Seminoles are again targeting an intriguing 2028 prospect: Worth County EDGE rusher Malik Muhammad, who announced his Florida State offer. This underscores the Noles’ sharp recruiting. Although Muhammad lacks a star rating for now, the Noles recognize his potential and are moving early to give him the attention he deserves.
Seminoles send out offer to potentially elite edge rusher Malik Muhammad
Malik Muhammad, a promising high school football prospect from Worth County High School in Sylvester, Georgia, primarily plays as an edge rusher but has also appeared at linebacker on his tape. Standing 6’4″ and weighing around 205-210 pounds, he brings a blend of elite size, length, and athleticism, impressive for both his position and his age. With further growth and skill refinement likely, he could become an elite 2028 prospect.
In his sophomore season (2025), Muhammad contributed significantly on defense with 30 total tackles (25 solo), five tackles for loss, two sacks, and two forced fumbles. His performance has quickly elevated his recruiting profile, earning multiple Division I offers from programs including the Alabama Crimson Tide, Tennessee Volunteers, Texas Longhorns, Miami Hurricanes, Ohio State Buckeyes, and others.
As a young player from a smaller program, Muhammad is quickly emerging as a leading early-edge prospect nationally, with his recruitment set to accelerate in the coming years. Anticipating this, the Seminoles are moving aggressively to gain an advantage.
