Former Miami wide receiver Horton helped the Hurricanes pull off one of their first big wins of the Mario Cristobal era. Now, he’s heading to play for the team he helped beat just two years ago.

Horton, who played the 2025 season with the Alabama Crimson Tide, re-entered the transfer portal this month and chose the Texas A&M Aggies, per CBS Sports college football insider Matt Zenitz.

Former Miami and Alabama WR Isaiah Horton transferring to Texas A&M

Horton started off his college career with Miami in 2022. He signed with the Hurricanes out of Murfreesboro, Tennessee as a four-star wide receiver and the No. 54 receiver and No. 12 player in the state of Tennessee for the 2022 cycle.

His big breakout moment came in 2023 for Miami against the Aggies at Hard Rock Stadium. Horton hauled in a 52-yard touchdown catch to help close an early deficit against A&M. The Hurricanes would continue to put their foot on the gas and go on to win 48-33.

Horton would go on to make a big impact next season in Miami’s breakout 2024 season with Cam Ward under center. Amid a slew of talent at wide receiver and tight end, Horton was second on the team in catches (52) and third in receiving yards (616).

This season with the Tide, he had some big moments. His three touchdown catches against Auburn helped the Crimson Tide narrowly escape 27-20 and lock up a spot in the SEC championship game. He also had a touchdown catch in Bama’s 24-21 win at Georgia back in September.

Horton visited College Station over the weekend, and it’s obvious he liked what he saw. And the Aggies certainly will enjoy having the former Cane in their huddle rather than having to face off against him.
