Georgia standout tight end Brock Bowers is a widely projected first-round pick in the upcoming 2024 NFL Draft.
He's also considered the best-ranked tight end in this year's class and in recent NFL draft history.
A to Z Sports sees Bowers landing either with the New York Jets at No. 10, the Indianapolis Colts at No. 15, or the Cincinnati Bengals at No. 18.
But as a highly sought-after draft prospect, there's a chance that Bowers could go off the board even earlier.
In fact, a source close to Georgia has shared with A to Z Sports that they are hearing the Colts are a team that's looking to trade up into the top 10 for the former Bulldogs star.
Indianapolis has never traded up in the first round under general manager Chris Ballard, however, Bowers would be worth the jump as an elite playmaker and pro-ready tight end.
Bowers, 21, enters the draft a three-time All-American, two-time national champion and back-to-back winner of the John Mackey Award.
Deemed college football's greatest to ever play tight end, Bowers reeled in an astounding 175 receptions for 2,538 yards and 26 touchdowns in 35 games for the Bulldogs. He also added 193 yards and five scores on the ground.
Bowers is on the smaller side at 6-foot-4 and 240 pounds compared to current NFL star tight ends like George Kittle (6'4", 250 lbs) and Travis Kelce (6'5", 250 lbs), though his speed, overall athleticism, blocking skills, and proven track record make up for that.
Tight end isn't necessarily a need for the Colts, however, adding Bowers to their roster would take their offense and second-year quarterback Anthony Richardson's career to new heights.
We'll see if Ballard ends up making the move when the NFL Draft kicks off on April 25 at 5 p.m. ET in downtown Detroit.
